Laser back surgery also referred to as laser spine surgery is a minimally invasive procedure that treats all sorts of upper and lower back conditions such as a pinched nerve, a herniated disc, spinal stenosis and many other back conditions.
A relatively new procedure that really only went mainstream in the last 5 years is laser back surgery and it has had some fantastic results for both people who have tried open back surgery before and others who have never had any sort of surgery.
NCBI, a well renowned government institution that reviews and reports on all sorts of new technology published a report and review of laser back surgery on there website titled, “Review of safety in endoscopic laser foraminoplasty for the management of back pain”. The general purpose was to see whether or not laser back surgery offered better results and less complications then typical surgeries. The review was summed up with this statement, “From these results, we conclude that ELF as a treatment for chronic low back pain and sciatica presents less risk to a patient than conventional methods of spinal surgery”.
With laser back surgery not being around for that long (in the big scale of things), the downside is it’s still not covered completely by many insurance providers and therefore for some people this can pose a financial challenge.
For many of those who have gone ahead and gotten this procedure, they would tell you it’s the best money they have ever spent.
