Laser Back Surgery Can Get You on the Road to Relief from a Number of Conditions in Just Five Days

Back pain is one of the top health complaints for American adults. It has many of us running between our doctors, chiropractors, masseuses, and physical therapists day in and day out. We take Tylenol and stronger narcotics when the pain becomes too much to bear. We beg for something stronger and end up with spinal steroid injections. It’s an ongoing battle against painful symptoms that sometimes seems impossible to win. But there’s an answer: laser back surgery.

At Laser Spine Institute, we use this groundbreaking procedure to get to the root of back pain, which is quite often caused by pressure on the spine or nearby nerves. Some of our surgeons have been using this laser back surgery technique for more than 10 years to help those suffering from sciatica, bulging disc, foraminal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, and more. And, since opening our first surgery center five years ago, we’ve improved this procedure so we can have you back home with reduced pain in less than a week.

Here’s how our 5-day process works:

  • Day 1: You’ll check in at one of our laser back surgery centers in Tampa, Scottsdale, or Philadelphia, and undergo a complete physical, lab work, an EKG, and if needed, an MRI or X-Ray.
  • Day 2: You’ll discuss your MRI and surgery with an LSI physician.
  • Day 3: Surgery day starts with an anesthesiologist consultation and then the outpatient laser back surgery is performed. After a short recovery period, you can retire to your home or hotel room.
  • Day 4: We’ll assess your recovery and begin physical therapy.
  • Day 5: You’ll partake in a second physical therapy session if needed, and your incision is checked once more before you are permanently discharged from LSI.

Many of our patients return to work and resume normal activities in as little as two weeks. Some even feel relief when they are still on the operating table.

If this sounds like the type of treatment you’d like to pursue for your back pain, contact us today. We’ll review your MRI or CT scan for free to determine if laser back surgery is right for you.
